Women’s Equality Officer

Scarlet Harris is the TUC’s Women’s Equality Officer, working on all matters relating to women’s rights and women in the workplace, including issues of discrimination, pay, sexual harassment and violence at work, childcare and family friendly working practices.

Before working in the equalities department at the TUC, Scarlet led the unionlearn apprenticeships project which included work on occupational segregation and the gender pay gap in the apprenticeships system.

Prior to working at the TUC, Scarlet worked at the Rail, Maritime, and Transport Workers’ Union.

Scarlet is also a member of the Women’s Budget Group management committee.
