Project Director for the ‘Women Adding Value to the Economy’ (WAVE) programme at Cardiff University, ESF funded through the Welsh Government.

Alison’s current research is a collaboration with employers to examine how gender pay disparities are sustained by occupational segregation, and supporting their work to make long lasting change to organisational practice and employment structures.

She is an advisor to the European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE) on gender mainstreaming, a member of the EHRC equal pay guidance review group, and has previously been a Standing Advisor to the National Assembly for Wales Equality Committee. She is also working with UK and international partners to develop methods for undertaking mainstreaming equality on an intersectional basis in research, policy and practice.
