Graduating with a BSc Hons in Microbiology, Belinda joined Glaxo Pharmaceuticals becoming UK Marketing Manager. While completing an MBA at Ashridge Management College, Belinda joined the poorly performing Blood Transfusion Service as CEO to lead a merger. She left the service able to supply all the hospital blood requirements without fail and was awarded the Duncan Nichols leadership prize and quality award. After a time managing a Medical Publishing company she became CEO of an NHS Trust and cut waiting times many fold while improving quality and holding costs.
Belinda has recently stepped down as NCT CEO after 15 years during which the charity grew six fold and is now supported by 110,000 members reaching nearly a quarter of all first time parents with classes and supporting millions more through other services. NCT has been instrumental in bringing about changes in the law, policy and practice and is now the leading charity in the sector. Belinda is one of five girls and has three daughters sparking her passion to see gender equality become a reality.
